Independent Medical Examinations:
IMEs are performed to determine the cause, extent, and medical treatment of a work-related or other injury where liability is at issue. An IME may be conducted at the behest of an employer and/or an insurance carrier to obtain an independent opinion of the clinical status of the individual. There is no doctor/patient relationship established and no medical treatment is rendered.
Video and Discovery Depositions:
A deposition is an out-of-court sworn testimony of a witness that is reduced in writing for later use in court or for discovery purposes. It is also referred to as examination before trial and is a pretrial procedure.
Affidavits:
An affidavit is a voluntary, sworn statement made under oath, used as verification for various purposes. The statement is witnessed and signed by a notary public or other official authorized to do so.
Medical Peer Reviews:
The objective of a medical peer review is to investigate the medical care rendered in order to determine whether accepted standards of care have been met. The professional or personal conduct of a physician or other healthcare professional may also be investigated.
Medical Records Review:
Our medical professionals provide a case summary based on the facts from the medical records received. The records provide a clear outline of a patient’s past medical history as well as the need for future medical care.
Addendums:
An addendum is a document or information attached or added to clarify, modify, or support the information in the original document or written work.
